Expressed deliciousness of Sakura Mochi (a pink rice cake filled with sweetened bean paste, wrapped in a salt-preserved cherry leaf)
With a concept to deliver “that deliciousness of Sakura Mochi in sweetened bean past,” we devoted ourselves to develop Sakura (cherry blossom flavor) sweetened bean paste with plenty of spring color. The lightly colored elegant taste of ”Shiro-an” (white sweetened bean paste) has a cherry blossom color and uses the natural material “Bejikoji” (monascus) mixed with “Sakura-no-ha” (cherry leaves). These cherry leaves are the domestically produced Oshima Sakura (cherry blossoms) and are marinated in salt water for more than half a year. The result is a very little salty sense that brings out the flavor and aroma of Sakura. To anticipate spring, this product will be available in January and sold until May for a limited time.
Three kinds of recommended recipes for Sakura (cherry blossom) flavor sweetened bean paste
There are three recommended recipes. “Sakura An-pan” (Sakura flavor sweetened bean bun) uses hotel-made bread and is baked in a form of cherry blossoms. “Haru-iro/ Ohanami” (spring color / cherry blossom viewing) buns are a feast for your eyes with salted cheery blossoms and icing that is full of beauty and fun. “Haru-iro Sakura (cherry blossom)” milk mousse has three flavors: Sakura (cherry blossom) mousse, raspberry sauce, and milk mouse that will melt in your mouth. Moreover, putting some whipped cream on the top of the bun provides a light pink color and is full of fresh Sakura tastes and flavor. This is a cream that everyone should try.
